Double Benefits: Cinedom Couples Bag Ad Advantage!

They're certainly at an ad…vantage. Star couples Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Akshay Khanna and Twinkle Khanna have reaped the rich benefits of doing brand endorsement flicks together and have benefitted in full measure.
As per insiders, Akshay and Twinkle have swatted down more offers than they've accepted; post their ad commercial for a topline furnishings brand, Gauri and her celeb hubby too are being pursued for more "package deals" together.
Although Hrithik Roshan and spouse Sussanne too fit the bill ("good looking A list star wives add to the package deal," as a top ad honcho, puts it), the latter really hasn't bitten the ad commercial bait, despite good provocation.
States SRK in a media quote, "I didn't get two cheques for the advertisement, just one. Actually, Gauri is the star of the ad, as the brand was more keen on roping her in, rather than me."
Incidentally, the concept of "package deals"also extends to steady love interests like John Abraham and Bipasha Basu, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who aren't wedded couples, as yet.
Ad guru and actor Bharat Dhabolkar states in a media quote, "Good looking star wives make a huge difference to the package deal. But I don't think that they're being paid more than the star themselves."
Another ad honcho states, "Ever since we'd roped in Pataudi and Sharmila and convinced Saif to show his face too, the idea seems to have caught on in a big way."
