Wedding bells for Imran and Avantika!

Bollywood’s chocolate boy Imran Khan recently revealed his plans to tie the knot with his childhood sweetheart. The actor is planning to wed longtime girlfriend Avantika in January 2011.

The wedding is being planned out on a grand scale. Sources are claiming that t he wedding will take place at a palatial resort in Thailand , where all the guests attending the wedding will be accommodated. “It will not be a nikkaah. It would be a simple registered marriage. Only a few close friends and family members shall be invited to the ceremony.
Apparently, Imran has also asked Karan Johar, the producer of Imran’s upcoming movie Short Term Shaadi to adjust his shooting dates in order to accommodate his break for the wedding and its many affairs.
Imran confirms, “I haven’t locked the exact wedding date yet since my shooting dates are still uncertain. I want to go on a break from my schedule for a couple of months so that we can do the entire event in a proper manner.”
