Salman Khan takes a U-turn

It can be called as a classic case of role reversal
or irony. On Saturday, Salman Khan shot for a public awareness ad to evoke
kindness and responsibility towards hit-and-run victims. It is a well-known fact
that Salman has been booked for a similar offense in the past (September 28,
2002). Our source said, “The ad talks about how people just ignore those who are
in distress on roads when hit by someone. It shows a man hit by a vehicle who is
left to die. Nikhil Saini, director of the film confirmed, “Yes, Salman has done
a 90-second ad with us. After the story unfolds, Salman comes to give a public
service message. He is wearing ‘Being human’ shirt and he says, “Apni zimmidari
se mat bhagiye.

Responsible aur zimmedar logo ki zaroorat hai is
desh ko.” The ad also has Vipin Sharma, (who played Darsheel Safary’s father in
Tare Zameen Par) and Shailendra Gaur, (who played the title role in Veer
Savarkar) in it. We are quite hopeful of driving home the point. Salman Khan has
added another feather to his cap. He has recorded and sung a promotional song
for Wanted. Incidentally, this is the first time that the actor has sung
professionally.  Sajid of music composer duo Sajid-Wajid said, “Salmanbhai has
always shown a keen interest in music.

This song was done on an impulse. While dubbing for
the film, he spoke to me about it. He had written lyrics and even selected
dialogue from the film to go with it.This song was meant for his album but we
will be using four and a half minutes from the seven minute track for Wanted.
It’s a highly energetic and stylised song. While singing, Salman touched the D
note which is an achievement for a first time singer.”
