Sanjay declines Big B’s request

Sanjay Dutt after getting a new
portfolio of Samajwadi party GS is on cloud nine and had no qualm to
turn down the request of the man who he adores a lot. The man in
question is none other than Amitabh Bachchan. When Mr Bachchan made a
request to Sanjay on behalf of Ram Gopal Varma to give the rights of the
film title ‘India’ to Ramu for his film ‘Rann’, Sanjay turned down his
request. Amitabh Bachchan personally called up Sanju baba for the rights
of the name but shockingly, Sanjay declined his request.

 

A source said, “When Ram Gopal Varma decided to re-title his Amitabh
Bachchan starrer, Rann as India 24x7, he requested Bachchan to call
Sanjay Dutt, who has the rights to the title India . Much as Dutt would
have loved to give away the title to Bachchan he found himself in a
tight spot and had to decline”. Sanju is not ready to part away from his
film title, ‘India’ and wanted the same name for his film. Sanjay Dutt’s
production company is producing a flick by the name 'India' to be
directed by Soham Shah.



It is a film based on sports and the title ‘India’ is the only title
that suits the film and so Dutt and Soham are finding hard to part away
from the title which they have zeroed much earlier.
