Yahoo! for Genelia

We told you about how Jiah Khan was unceremoniously
dropped from Ken Ghoshs Yahoo, and the subsequent hunt for a leading lady. After
Katrina Kaif and Kangna Ranaut refused to star in the film, it seems Ken has at
last found an actress. Genelia D - Souza will now play Jiah’s role opposite
Shahid Kapur.

Reveals our source from UTV, the production house, Ken and Shahid had decided
to sign Jiah while she was working on Ghajini, thinking that she would be hot
property post-Ghajini . But they were disappointed at how things turned out and
finally, a week ago, when Ken was having a look at the trial rushes of Yahoo, he
took the decision to drop her. Katrina and Kangna gave Yahoo a thumbs down and
that was when Genelia came into the picture. And Genelia, as she had plenty of
dates to spare, will soon sign the film.

Ken will now reshoot portions of the film he had completed with Jiah. Jiah
had already shot for over three weeks and even a song choreographed by Marty
(Justin Timberlakes choreographer ). Now, as Ken will reshoot all these with
Genelia, it will mean heavy losses for the film.

Ken and Genelia both remained unavailable for comment.
